If a person is charged with domestic battery and false imprisonment, will he go to prison if its his 1st charg

This person has never been in trouble with the law...

What would his sentence most likely to be?

Please no ignorant responses. If a person is charged with domestic battery and false imprisonment, will he go to prison if its his 1st charg
It depends on who the judge is and what kind of mood he is in.If a person is charged with domestic battery and false imprisonment, will he go to prison if its his 1st charg
It is rare to go to prison for a first offense of ANYTHING.

Of course for serious felonies or murder you could go to prison for a first offense. Other than that, it is rare.

This person could expect fines and probation.

A second offense will obviously up the ante.
It all depends on the seriousness of the crime you did not provide enough details and each state is different. There could be probation, fines and may be a jail sentence.Talk to a lawyer.
It all depends on severity of the crime and his prospect for remediation. You can call your district attorney's office and talk with your DA to get a feel for it.
Well, if its their first offense, it really doesn't matter. IF they beat the **** out of someone and wouldn't let them go, why should he get a slap on the wrist? I'm sure he didn't just slap the wrist of whoever he held captive.

As far as a sentence goes, probably depends on the severity of the injuries he inflicted on the victim. He might get his charge lowered to disorderly conduct, which is just a fine. If the injuries were severe enough, he will probably get 6 months in jail w/ possibility of huber and 2 yrs on probation. He might also have to pay for any damages he caused the victim. ( hospital bills, property damage, mental..exc.exc.)
The domestic battery probably isn't going to get you thrown in jail. I know enough wack jobs that have been charged with it %26amp; it's a joke. The false imprisonment might be what causes you the problem. It's akin to a kidnapping charge the way I've always seen it in the media.
we can only hope. And we can also hope for forced steralization as we have enough ignorant people in this world
In all honesty it depends on how badly the victim was injured and the laws in your area.
probably will be on probation

someone i know did the same thing first offense and got 6 month probation.
